Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray to operate fluoroscopy and C-arm equipment in the EP Lab, requiring at least 1 year of experience and current BLS certification.

Details

  • Short term acute care teaching hospital setting
  • Position focused exclusively on operating fluoroscopy equipment (C-Arm) in the EP Lab
  • 1:1 patient ratio
  • 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • No weekends or on-call required
  • No floating between units required for this role, though travelers may be expected to float to sister facilities nearby
  • Epic EMR used for charting
  • Uses PACS and Philips imaging equipment

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Rad Tech (X-Ray Tech)
  • Current BLS certification required
  • OBMI certification preferred
  • License required if applicable
  • Experience with fluoroscopy and C-arm procedures required
  • Experience with adult acute care and bedside/portable procedures
  • Operating room experience preferred
  • Chest and thorax imaging skills including AP, lateral decubitus, and routine chest views
  • Knowledge of radiation safety practices
  • Scrubbing experience a plus
  • Epic charting experience required

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers will be considered for this position
  • Must have a vehicle for this assignment
  • Scrubs are provided for OR/Cath Lab; any color scrubs accepted elsewhere
  • No parking fee at this facility
  • Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
  • Candidates must live outside a 50 mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate; local candidates may be accepted at a lower bill rate
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel employee
  • Must be willing to commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • RTO requests should be submitted upfront during the application process
