Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience?
Yes, if they have experience in a large Level 3+ facility and have experience with general X-ray, trauma, and OR
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, as long as they have experience in a large Level 3+ facility with broad experience
Patient Types:
General x-rays, portables, OR cases, fluoro, swallow studies.
Night shift does not necessarily need experience with fluoro cases
Patients seen in a day:

Required Licensure and Certifications:
BLS, ARRT, State license
Skills required:
Experience with case types above, must have acute care experience
Support on the Unit:
Lead Tech X-ray Tech
Respiratory Therapy
Hospitalist
Radiologist: IR MD and PA will help with cases in CT; Radiologist there during day, off site at night
RRT
Transporter: X-ray will transport own patients
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: EPIC
IV pumps: Alaris, will typically not alter
Medication dispensing: Pyxis
Injector: MedRad
PACS: Change Healthcare
Equipment used:
Standard x-ray and fluoro equipment is Siemens, Portable Shimadzu
They do not need prior experience with this equipment
Floating: If yes, where?
Typically will not float anywhere
X-ray portables
X-ray Days/Eves could go to the OR, but not really for nights
Orientation:
NEO
1 week, could be a little more if needed
Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: Fixed schedule, see job posting for details. Some positions will be for every weekend
On call? Yes
2-4 call shifts per month
Strictly night shift travelers will also take call as night shifts are only 12h shifts and will have 4 days off per week
Response time is 30 minutes.
Holiday Expectations: Every other holiday
Approval of time: To go through manager
Shift times:
8, 10, and 12h shifts. Night shift is always 12h shifts; See job posting for shift times
Manager cannot accommodate variance in shift requests unless the shift they re wanting is already posted. (Example If the job posting is for 8h shifts, manager cannot accommodate a 12h shift request unless a 12h shift job happens to be posted as well).
