Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Profession: Radiologic Tech Specialty: Radiologic Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10-hour NOC Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 3 years License: TX MRT Certifications: BLS (AHA Only), ARRT (R) Must-Have: - Minimum 3 years of experience - Experience assisting in minor OR cases (C-arm/O-arm) Description: The Radiologic Technologist performs radiology procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a physician or other licensed provider for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols. Performs high-quality radiology procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner. Maintains production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards and procedures. Demonstrates an understanding of radiation dose reference levels and monitoring. Utilizes effective communication techniques to identify patient service requirements and establish rapport. Instructs and communicates with patients and their families regarding the test to be performed. Prepares patients and areas for procedures by positioning patients and adjusting equipment controls. Protects patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control, and drug policies. Uses proper sterile techniques when setting up and performing invasive procedures. Maintains equipment and work areas to meet quality and cleanliness standards. Reports issues to management or appropriate department. Ensures individuals are safe to enter the department by screening them according to approved policies. Obtains, verifies, and maintains all relevant documentation related to patient care and procedures. Maintains medical imaging records in accordance with department policies for timely interpretation. Able to explain procedures to patients and alleviate their concerns. Provides services in a timely, accurate, and cost-efficient manner in compliance with established standards. Performs tasks independently without routine oversight. Maintains a calm and helpful attitude in stressful situations. Administers first aid and utilizes emergency equipment when necessary. Ensures customer satisfaction by limiting wait times and providing courteous service. Demonstrates and maintains current knowledge and skills for appropriate patient care across various age groups. Serves as a preceptor by providing quality training to new team members. Available to take call if required.
