Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Profession: Rad Tech Specialty: Radiologic Technology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Variable day, mid, or evening; no overnights Hours per Shift: 4 x 10s; no set days; start times vary Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred License: Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography (ARRT-R): Required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor: Required Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required within 6 months of hire Fluoroscopy (FLUORO): Required Must-Have: Associate's Degree in radiologic technology Description: Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of the body as ordered by physicians. Positions and instructs patients prior to examination. Adjusts the x-ray equipment and determines proper voltage, current, and desired exposure time for each radiograph. Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation. Explains procedures to patients and answers questions. Prepares equipment for use as needed. Prepares examination rooms for patient exams. Positions patients for imaging exams. Monitors patients and ensures safety during exams. Produces diagnostic images. Documents exam information. Reports important information to the physician. Verifies exams on PACS. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Client is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our associates and patients.
