Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Profession: Radiology Specialty: X-ray Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening/Night Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: State X-ray License Certifications: ARRT, BLS Must-Have: Experience in General X-ray, Fluoro, and OR Description: All submissions must include a copy of the candidate's unexpired driver's license. Candidates must disclose any license hits at the time of submission. Candidates must be able to work fluoroscopy and in surgery. Common types of imaging studies performed include general X-ray, OR cases, and fluoroscopy cases. The department has 4 rooms: 3 general X-ray, 1 fluoroscopy, 2 portable, and 3 C-arms. Staffing includes 6-7 technologists during the day, 3-4 in the evenings, and 1 on midnights. Technologists will float between the general department, fluoroscopy, and OR. The average number of scans performed is approximately 110 per day. The department uses Community Works for EMR and Intellirad for PACS. Department-specific equipment includes OEC C-arms, GE AMX portables with DR, and Del Medical, Siemens, and Philips diagnostic rooms. The imaging director and manager are available by phone during daylight hours. Radiologists are in-house 24/7 until 5 PM, then on call, with Vrad covering interpretations from 2 AM to 6 AM. IV starts are not required for this position. Staff works 2 days on, 2 days off, and 3 days on, in 8-hour shifts. The shift schedule includes various daytime shifts and a midnight shift. Overnight, a technologist may be the only staff member in-house. Weekend requirements include working every other weekend, and holiday rotation may be necessary. A dress code requiring clean and professional scrubs applies, with no specific color mandated. Department-specific orientation consists of 5 shifts with a preceptor. The cancellation policy allows the client to cancel 2 shifts for assignments of 13 weeks or more.
