Must-Have: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor
Description:
Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of the body as ordered by physicians.
Positions and instructs patients prior to examination.
Adjusts the x-ray equipment and determines proper voltage as well as current and desired exposure time for each radiograph.
Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation.
Explains procedures to patients and answers questions.
Prepares equipment for use as needed.
Prepares examination rooms for patient exams.
Positions patients for imaging exams.
Monitors patients and ensures safety during exams.
Produces diagnostic images.
Documents exam information.
Reports important information to the physician.
Verifies exams on PACS.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Staffing Ratios:
Days: 2-7 technologists per day shift.
Nights: 1 night shift technologist.
Weekends: 2-3 weekend technologists.
Schedule Requirements:
Call is required as part of the rotation with the team, including weeknight and weekend call shifts.
Float is not required.
Weekend coverage is on-call and depends on the shift hired for.
Unit Systems:
Documentation System: Epic & Mach7 PACS
Communication: Microsoft Teams
Support: IV teams are available during dayshift.
Lift teams are not available, but the imaging team or ED team can assist.
Pharmacy is available 24/7.
Phlebotomy is available 24/7.
Transportation is available with varying shifts.
Unit Secretary is present.
Department Patient Registration is provided.
Provider Coverage includes Intensivists and Clientists available 24/7.
Additional Unit Information:
Special Equipment includes Siemens, Carestream, and GE equipment.
Special Procedures include Fluoroscopy and Surgery cases.
