Responsibilities include providing mobile X-Ray and EKG services to nursing homes and healthcare facilities. You will perform and process X-Rays using portable digital or computed radiography equipment and submit them to a Radiologist for interpretation. You must unload portable X-Ray equipment and take it into facilities to perform the exams ordered by physicians. It is essential to obtain clinically diagnostic and technically competent x-ray images. You will perform EKGs, as needed, and transmit them to a Cardiologist for interpretation if required. Daily tasks include scanning exam-related paperwork and billing documents per protocol. Regular communication with dispatch and management is necessary. Effective interaction with peers, supervisory staff, and clients is required. You will also maintain the vehicle and X-Ray equipment. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here represent those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Radiologic Technologists may push or pull anywhere from 50 to 100 lbs. With the use of vehicle ramps and pulleys, this weight decreases. During movement of the equipment within a facility or home, this weight can increase. 50 lbs of force or more may be required 16 to 24 times a day.
