Job Title: X-Ray Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Radiology Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2 years in an acute hospital setting License: NY State License required Certifications: ARRT R Must-Have: - Must provide interview availability in EST for the next two business days. - Candidate must be agreeable to spending the majority of the assignment in the operating room. - Must have two supervisory clinical references at the time of submission. - Prefer at least one travel assignment prior to consideration, but not required. Description: This position requires a candidate with two years of experience in an acute hospital setting. Traveler experience is preferred. Candidates must hold an ARRT R certification and a valid NY State License. Procedures involve adult acute care and outpatient settings. Experience with emergency departments and operating room procedures is beneficial. Candidates should be familiar with preparation and administration of contrast media and radiation safety. Staffing and scheduling will require flexibility in availability for weekends. There will be an emphasis on infection prevention and isolation precautions. The facility serves diverse patient age groups including neonates, infants, children, adults, and geriatrics. Daily operations may involve interdisciplinary support and interpretation services. Candidates should possess skills in using specific medical equipment and charting systems. Travelers must have prior permanent or travel work history within the required health system listed.
