Must-Have:
- Knowledge in cross-sectional anatomy
- Two years of diagnostic experience (desirable)
- Ability to lift 40 pounds from floor to wheelchair or waist
- Ability to move 40 pounds six feet
- Ability to reach overhead holding 25 pounds
- Ability to lift 40 pounds from wheelchair to bed level
- Ability to pull 40 pounds from stretcher to bed
- Ability to push a 150-pound loaded stretcher for 300 feet
Description:
The CT Technologist performs computerized tomography procedures, including invasive procedures.
The technologist positions and instructs the patient, operates specialized equipment, and determines the technical factors for exposure.
They ensure correct marking and labeling of all films.
The technologist must consistently provide safe, quality patient care.
They are also required to take call shifts.
Moderate to heavy physical effort is required.
Proper body mechanics must be applied to safely transport patients and equipment.
Good stamina, flexibility, and manual dexterity are necessary to operate delicate equipment.
Computer skills are required.
The technologist must demonstrate accurate judgment and decision-making ability consistent with radiology knowledge and skills.
Quality customer service and patient care must be provided in accordance with established policies and procedures.
