Job Summary

We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist / X-Ray Technologist for a contract position supporting multiple outpatient locations throughout New York City and Brooklyn.

The X-Ray Technologist will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, prepare and position patients, operate radiology equipment, maintain radiation-safety standards, and produce high-quality diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures according to established protocols.

• Prepare, position, and provide instructions to patients before and during examinations.

• Operate radiologic equipment and adjust exposure factors as required.

• Apply appropriate radiation protection techniques for patients and staff.

• Use beam-restricting devices and appropriate patient shielding.

• Maintain high-quality radiographic images and make necessary technical adjustments.

• Complete and verify examinations and accurately document patient care.

• Follow infection-control policies and maintain a safe, clean work environment.

• Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and report equipment malfunctions when necessary.

• Assist with equipment maintenance and inventory management.

• Maintain adequate supplies and report shortages.

• Maintain required regulatory and continuing education requirements.

• Work effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and other healthcare professionals.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology.

• Valid New York State Department of Health Radiologic Technologist (LRT) License.

• ARRT certification.

• Strong knowledge of diagnostic radiographic procedures.

• Knowledge of radiation protection and patient positioning.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Dependable, organized, and quality-focused.
