X-Ray Technologist – Contract

Location: Long Island City, NY 11102
Contract Length: 13+Week
Schedule: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Shift: Evening
Weekend: Every other weekend
Local Pay rate: $65/hr on w2 ( Without Benefits)

We are seeking a reliable and patient-focused X-Ray Technologist to perform diagnostic radiologic procedures in a clinical environment. The technologist will prepare and position patients, operate radiologic equipment, produce high-quality diagnostic images, and follow radiation-safety and infection-control standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures according to established standards.
• Prepare and position patients for X-ray examinations.
• Adjust immobilization devices and equipment as necessary.
• Set appropriate exposure factors to obtain quality radiographic images.
• Apply radiation-protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
• Follow infection-control policies and procedures.
• Process radiographs and evaluate images for quality.
• Make necessary adjustments to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
• Document patient care services and completed examinations accurately.
• Perform equipment checks, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Report equipment malfunctions and arrange for repairs when required.
• Maintain adequate radiology supplies and inventory.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment.
• Maintain required professional and regulatory knowledge through continuing education.
• Complete required yearly Age Specific Competency and other assigned duties.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a J.C.E.R.T./JCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Active New York State License – Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T.).
• ARRT certification/registration.
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic radiographic procedures.
• Ability to follow radiation-protection and infection-control practices.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependability and attention to quality.
