Basic Life Support certification from either American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Health Care Provider or American Heart Association - Health Care Provider. Candidates must successfully complete certification within the first 90 days of employment.
Must-Have:
Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) or graduate student eligible for the exam is highly preferred.
Description:
The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic medical radiographic procedures on all patient populations, from neonate to geriatric.
The technologist exhibits superior levels of customer service.
The technologist effectively operates radiographic equipment to produce quality images in various settings, including the Radiology Department, Emergency Department, Operating Room, or at the patient's bedside.
The technologist explains procedures to the patient, demonstrates appropriate patient positioning, and obtains optimum views of specified anatomy.
The technologist adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors based on knowledge of the procedure and established guidelines.
The technologist demonstrates effective radiation safety practices and assists the Radiologist when necessary.
The technologist interacts with numerous computer programs and systems daily.
The technologist may perform various other duties as assigned.
