Description

American Traveler is hiring an X-Ray Technologist for a Radiology department position requiring 1-3 years of experience and current NJ RT licensure.

Details

  • Hospital-based Radiology department setting
  • AM shift schedule, Monday-Friday 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, including every other weekend (11:00 AM to 7:00 PM)
  • 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week
  • On-call required approximately one shift every 3 weeks
  • Uses EPIC for charting
  • May float to a nearby sister facility as needed

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience as an X-Ray Technologist
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiography school
  • Current NJ State RT license (license required if applicable)
  • ARRT certification
  • BLS certification
  • Knowledge of imaging equipment setup, utilization, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Additional Information

  • Perform imaging and treatment processes in accordance with state, federal, and professional guidelines
  • Maintain imaging equipment and assess patient safety, comfort, and procedural needs
  • Monitor and coordinate daily imaging procedures, including revisions as needed
  • Stay current on trends and advances in clinical practice, healthcare informatics, and imaging technology
  • Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
  • Returning travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year from initial start date before requiring a break
