The role includes managing clinical site recruitment, student assignments, competency evaluations, and preceptor development under the guidance of the program director.
Job Details
Position Description: Responsible for organizing, managing, and developing the clinical education component of the Radiography Program. Ensures compliance with JRCERT Standards, state regulations, and institutional policies.
Certifications & Education Requirements: Bachelors degree in a related area or equivalent experience and training. Current, unrestricted ARRT certification and registration in Radiography (R(R)). Current state radiologic technology license.
Experience: Minimum of five years in radiologic technology, with at least two years in an educational setting and two years of full-time radiography clinical experience following initial ARRT certification.
Schedule: Dayshift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, starting on 09/28/2026 and ending on 02/01/2027.
Responsibilities:
Recruit, establish, and maintain clinical education affiliates recognized by JRCERT.
Manage preceptor and clinical staff development, including orientation and performance monitoring.
Develop clinical rotation schedules considering program sequencing, site capacity, and student needs.
Enforce supervision policies; students must be directly supervised by qualified ARRT-certified radiographers until competency is demonstrated.
Evaluate student clinical performance, monitor progress, and intervene with remediation plans if necessary.
Support accreditation processes and participate in program assessment and improvement activities.
Maintain documentation related to clinical site recognition, student rotations, competency records, and adherence to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, ARRT certification in Radiography, current state licensure, and at least five years of radiologic technology experience, including two years in education.
Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in radiologic science or related field; experience managing affiliation agreements; experience with clinical competency assessment platforms; additional ARRT credentials, such as Computed Tomography or Sonography.
Additional Information: Position involves a combination of administrative tasks and frequent travel between clinical education sites, requiring access to radiology suites and support areas, with potential for occasional irregular hours.
