Job Type: Full-time with overtime

Experience: 1 year preferred (Will train)

Reports to: Foreman, no supervisory responsibility

Wage: $28 - $32 per hour (based on experience and qualifications) Plus overtime, per diem, and sign-on bonus!

Travel Opportunity: This position regularly travels throughout Iowa and Minnesota. Overnight travel is expected and includes company-provided per diem.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver concrete or other products using the most efficient route as directed by the Dispatcher or Plant Manager.
• Visually inspect the mix for proper materials, verify the load size to the ticket, check for the proper slump when applicable, and adjust accordingly.
• Complete pre and post-shift inspections and assist with maintenance or repair of equipment as needed.
• Perform maintenance on assigned trucks and other equipment as required and record any concerns to ensure any maintenance issues are addressed that would inhibit work production or create safety concerns.
• Process the required paperwork via a tablet throughout the day (time reporting, truck reports, scale tickets).
• Must clean out the box, the cab, exterior and fuel the truck while completing end-of-day truck inspection.
• Collaborate with dispatchers, mechanics, plant personnel, and fellow drivers while pursuing cross-training opportunities to expand your career.
• Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work as this job description is non-exhaustive.

Position Requirements:

• Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.

• Class A or B CDL and current Medical DOT card.

• Mechanical background and skills

• Possess excellent communication skills and understand instructions in both written and verbal forms.

• Dependability and reliability by showing up to scheduled shifts on time and being prepared for work.

• A positive attitude is critical to ensure productive working relationships with co-workers and management.

• Continuous exposure to weather elements including heat, cold, noise, dusty conditions, and working outdoors.

• Overnight travel is standard (with per diem).
