ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Custodial Maintenance:
- Work at all schools for the Head Custodian during the person's absence.
- Clean and maintain a portion of the building.
- Set up and operate automatic scrubbing machines, rotary scrubbers/buffers, wet/dry vacuum cleaners, vacuum cleaners, carpet extractors, and shampooers. Machine scrub floors, spray buff floors, and shampoo carpets.
- Shampoo all carpets in the district's buildings as requested in the summer.
Grounds Maintenance:
- Cut and trim the grass.
- Cultivate around shrubs and trees.
- Shovel snow; sand and salt sidewalks and drives.
- Operation of power and riding mowers and snow blowers.
Mechanical Operation: If necessary, responsible for all boiler monitoring. Responsible for setting all clocks (time changes, outdoor lights, security system, heating units, etc.). Responsible for pool operation - testing, backwashing, etc. Responsible for minor repairs throughout the building. Responsible for energy conservation in the school - heat, light, and water.
