Position Overview
UES is seeking a Traveling Field and Laboratory Technician to join our growing team in Katy, Texas. As demand for our specialized thermal testing services continues to expand across the United States, we are adding multiple technicians to support our growth.
This is a unique opportunity to join a laboratory that performs highly specialized testing that very few companies in the industry can provide. We are looking for individuals with a strong soils background who are eager to develop specialized expertise through extensive hands-on training and nationwide project experience.
Whether you have experience performing Proctor testing, sieve analyses, soil classifications, visual soil inspections, or other geotechnical laboratory testing, we want to hear from you!

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a geotechnical, construction materials, or soils laboratory
Experience performing:
Proctor testing
Sieve analyses
Soil classifications
Visual soil inspections
SB101 and/or SB102 certifications preferred
Construction materials testing experience
Knowledge of soil mechanics and geotechnical testing procedures
Travel Requirements
This position includes regular travel to project sites throughout the United States.
Typical travel schedule:
UES provides all business travel accommodations, including airfare, lodging, per diem, and transportation expenses. Candidates must be at least 25 years old to meet travel requirements.
