Job Summary:
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Traveling Field Service Technician based in the midwestern region of the United States. This person is to become a technical subject matter expert for the company and all manufacturing solutions/equipment.
The Field Service Technician will also be expected to maintain service records, manage tools and equipment, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Job Responsibilities:- Servicing, Troubleshooting and maintaining machines
- Training operators
- Installing machines and upgrades
- Commissioning for machines and upgrade
- Reporting on machinery and equipment
Qualifications:- Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience with machinery installation, maintenance, and repair (mechanics)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to read/understand Rockwell PLC programs preferred
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, electrical- and pneumatic diagrams
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to schedule your travels and tasks within given time and flexibility regarding working hours
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred
- Willingness to travel internationally to client sites occasionally (2-4 visits / year – Mainly Austria, Mexico or Brazil)
- Fluency in both English and Spanish preferred
- Valid US passport
