Traveling Industrial Stick Welding Specialist

Our mission is simple: deliver reliable, high-quality welds that stand up to scrutiny in the shop and in the field. From a Louisville, KY base—with occasional days working in our shop—you’ll travel to active job sites to execute SMAW with precision and pride. Travel expenses are covered, and a per diem is offered; full details will be reviewed in the interview. Because of periodic shop work, we prefer candidates who live in Kentucky or within easy reach of Louisville.

Are you this kind of welder?

You arrive at a new site with a clear plan. Blueprint in hand, you confirm measurements with your tape, visualize the sequence, strike an arc, and run clean, consistent beads. You inspect your work, keep your tools squared away, and collaborate with the crew to finish strong and safe.

Role scope

  1. Perform stick welding across various materials and assemblies to meet project specs.
  2. Travel to designated sites and complete work efficiently and on time.
  3. Interpret welding symbols, technical drawings, and blueprints accurately.
  4. Maintain welding equipment and hand tools in reliable working order.
  5. Uphold safety procedures and regulatory requirements at all times.
  6. Partner with team members and project managers to meet schedule and quality benchmarks.
  7. Conduct visual inspections to confirm weld quality aligns with industry standards.
