Traveling MEP Assistant Project Manager - mission critical

Job TitleTraveling MEP Assistant Project ManagerJob DescriptionSupport Project Managers in planning, execution, and closeout activities for mission critical construction projects. Manage day-to-day project activities under the guidance of senior project leadership. Assist with MEP coordination efforts, subcontractor management, and project scheduling. Prepare invoices, estimates, meeting agendas, and project documentation. Track project progress and assist in developing daily, weekly, and monthly status reports. Assist with project budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting. Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and material suppliers. Support the preparation, negotiation, and execution of change orders. Help expedite invoice processing and subcontractor payments. Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents to coordinate field operations. Communicate project delays, risks, and critical issues to project leadership. Develop and maintain positive relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Assist with project startup procedures and closeout documentation. Support quality control and contract compliance efforts. Travel as required to assigned project locations throughout the United States.The Successful ApplicantA successful Traveling MEP Assistant Project Manager should have:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or related field2-4 years of experience in commercial construction project managementExposure to mission critical, data center, industrial, healthcare, or large-scale commercial projects preferredUnderstanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems and construction processesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to build and maintain effective working relationships with project teams and stakeholdersStrong organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilitiesSelf-motivated professional with a high level of integrity and accountabilityDetail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesProficient with construction management software and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work in active construction environments and navigate uneven terrainWillingness to work extended hours, including occasional weekends, as project demands requireAbility to travel extensively and relocate temporarily based on project assignmentsWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary ranging from $89,600 to $114,300 per year.Comprehensive health benefits and 401(k) plan.Truck allowance and gas card for work-related travel.Per diem provided during travel assignments.Competitive bonus structure available.If you're looking to expand your experience on high-profile mission critical projects, work alongside industry-leading construction professionals, and build a long-term career in project management, we'd like to hear from you.
