Traveling Network Infrastructure Technician – 1099 Contract Work
\nWire-N-InfoTech is seeking a small number of experienced Network Infrastructure Technicians and qualified network/low-voltage contractors for project-based field work.
\nInitial assignments will begin in the Omaha, Nebraska area and expand to locations within approximately a 250-mile radius as work orders are released. Additional regional and nationwide locations are expected as the program progresses.
\nWe are looking for dependable contractors who can work independently, professionally represent Wire-N-InfoTech onsite, and complete assigned work from arrival through documentation and closeout.
Current Project Scope\nTypical assignments may include:
\nFuture retrofit phases may include site discovery and point-to-point wireless bridge installations, as well as fiber or conventional network cabling where appropriate.
\nConnectivity requirements will vary by location and will be determined based on existing infrastructure, distance, and individual site conditions.
\nExperience with point-to-point wireless, outdoor network equipment, fiber, and multi-site deployments is a plus.
Required Experience\nContractors should have hands-on commercial and/or industrial network infrastructure experience, including:
\nWork may take place in active commercial, industrial, and production environments with varying site conditions typical of operating facilities. Contractors must be comfortable adapting to different work environments and following all site-specific safety and access requirements.
\nBICSI, CompTIA Network+, Cisco, OSHA, manufacturer certifications, or similar credentials are preferred but not required when supported by strong field experience.
Tools & Project Closeout\nContractors are expected to provide the professional tools and test equipment necessary for the assignments they accept.
\nBefore-and-after photos are required for every project.
\nWhen applicable, project closeout will also include:
\nThis is project-based 1099 contracted work. Assignments will be offered as they become available; no minimum hours or volume of work is guaranteed.
\nHourly rates, travel time, mileage, lodging, and other applicable travel expenses will be negotiated based on experience, project scope, and location.
\nContractors must professionally represent Wire-N-InfoTech while onsite, protect confidential client information, perform only authorized work, and may not directly solicit Wire-N-InfoTech clients.
\nQualified individual contractors and established network infrastructure or low-voltage service companies are encouraged to inquire. Regional or nationwide firms capable of supporting multiple locations may also be considered for ongoing subcontracted work.
