Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Relay Technicians for projects located in and around Kissimmee, FL. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay range of $65-77/hour based on experience plus hotel and $57/Per Diem to Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:
Perform relay protection testing, including electromechanical and numerical relay systems
Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and relay protection records
Lead all aspects of substation construction, testing, and commissioning
Ensure strict compliance with NERC CIP regulations and maintain detailed documentation
Conduct relay vault work in HV generation, transmission, and distribution environments
Collaborate with team members to uphold safety standards and human performance protocols
Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of verifiable, lead-level relay technician experience
Proven expertise in relay vault work for HV systems
Strong working knowledge of NERC CIP compliance procedures
Skilled in both electromechanical and numerical relay testing
Experienced in substation construction, testing, and commissioning
Excellent communication skills; bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
Must have a clean driving record and be willing to travel statewide
