Job Description
Johnson Service Group is now hiring TravelingSite Safety Manager (Conveyor / Logistics / Automation projects). Can live or be home based remote in any state in the US, will be travel extensively.
- This is a direct hire fully benefited position
- Salary: 90k (depending on experience)
- 100% Remote based on location
- Per Diem: Receive $59 for Per Diem 7 days a week
- Flights, Hotel, and Rental Car are paid by the company (All travel is booked through corporate travel)
- Hours: 50 hours per week
- Trips home: Able to travel home every-other weekend. (One 2-week period youll travel in on Monday to the customer site and stay 2 weeks and travel home on Thursday; the next 2-week period youll travel to customer site on Monday and stay 2 weeks and travel home on a Friday )
- Will be working at various client sites around the US and Canada.
- Must be able to travel 100% anywhere in the US
- Able to pass drug and background check.
- Must be US citizen or "Permanent" resident cannot approve Visa for any reason
Responsibilities:
- Function as the contact person for Health and Safety Manager
- Conduct risk assessments for the installation site; instruct and coordinate with employees, employees of subsidiaries and subcontractors on-site
- Monitor and coordinate the prevention and mitigation measures regarding health, safety, and environment
- Lead and record regular safety meetings
- Check all safety-relevant issues during regular inspections
- Function as the contact person for all accidents, near misses, and incidents
- Restrict and/or cease work activities, as needed, while safety issues are resolved
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state safety rules and regulation regarding health and safety
- Exercise the right and duty to issue yellow and red cards
- Work with site manager to ensure restricted access of the building site is enforced
- Check the display of statutory notices and emergency instructions
- Monitor the installation of mechanical/electrical assemblies
- Monitor the start-up and software installation
- Function as the contact person for subcontractors
- Responsible for continuous improvement and training to ensure compliance with all legal requirements pertaining to OHS
- Effectively communicate relevant safety-related information to subcontractors
- Regularly meet with all subcontractors to ensure compliance with standards
- Exercise staff oversight to ensure application of the safety plan, policies, and procedures
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions and strategies
- OSHA 500 (Construction) and/or OSHA 501 (General Industry) Certified. OSHA 30 may be considered if demonstrating a history of successfully working within the OHS environment
