Gardner‑Watson Decking, Inc is hiring a Traveling Steel Deck & Shear Stud Installer to support sheet metal decking projects on structural steel nationwide.

- Will you travel 100% nationwide with your crew?
What You’ll Tackle
- Lay out, place, and attach sheet metal decking to steel framing
- Use hand, power, pneumatic, and powder‑actuated tools properly and safely
- Maintain tools/equipment and keep them in top condition
- Accurately log time and attendance every day
- Adhere to OSHA, customer, and company safety requirements
- Assist with additional site tasks as directed
Your Week at a Glance
- Projects typically run 2–3 months (sometimes longer)
- When a project finishes, travel with your crew to the next city/state
- Hours flex slightly by jobsite, season, and weather
- Active locations include NM, TX, VA, AZ, SC, GA, MS, AR, FL, MD, and more
What You Bring
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work at heights
- Experience with hand, power, pneumatic, and powder‑actuated tools
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Preferred (Not Required)
- OSHA 10‑Hour Construction Safety Certification
- Welding Certification
- Aerial Lift Certification
