Traveling Superintendent - Commercial Construction

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to join our team overseeing on-site construction operations for large-scale commercial projects! This role involves supervising all field activities while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Projects include:

• Hotels
• Casinos
• Healthcare Facilities
• K-12 Schools
• Higher Education
• Office Buildings
• High-Rise Construction
• Other large-scale commercial developments

Project values typically range from $30M–$200M+.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain project schedules and construction budgets
• Coordinate with owners and stakeholders regarding required documentation, including:
  • Work permits
  • Preconstruction risk assessments
  • Infection control risk assessments
  • Safety documentation
• Ensure all safety practices and procedures are followed on-site
• Lead and supervise subcontractors and field personnel
• Represent the company professionally during meetings with:
  • Owners
  • Architects
  • Inspectors
  • Subcontractors
• Utilize company software and technology for:
  • Daily reports
  • Expense approvals
  • Site documentation
  • Time entry
  • Email communication
  • Progress tracking

• Communicate regularly with leadership and project management teams regarding:
  • Productivity
  • Scheduling
  • Quality control
  • Site requirements
• Mentor and train upcoming field personnel and future superintendents
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Field Operations Director

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent in large-scale commercial construction preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain jobsite efficiency
• Proficient with computers and construction management software
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and instructions
• Valid driver’s license required
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Team-oriented mindset
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
