Overview

We are seeking a Traveling Superintendent to oversee commercial renovation projects throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead all on-site construction activities from project startup through final closeout
  • Manage commercial renovation projects across multiple states throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, inspections, and daily project operations
  • Drive project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved on time and within budget
  • Maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity on every job site
  • Proactively identify project risks, delays, and field issues while implementing effective solutions
  • Conduct client, owner, and stakeholder walkthroughs
  • Prepare and maintain project reports, site documentation, and progress updates
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution
  • Foster strong relationships with subcontractors, clients, and building occupants
  • Lead by example and maintain a professional, solutions-focused presence on site

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects from start to finish
  • Strong experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proven problem-solving abilities in fast-paced construction environments
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively for project assignments
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Valid driver"s license with a strong driving record

Requirements

  • Ability to travel throughout assigned territories and project locations
  • Experience managing project schedules, jobsite logistics, and subcontractor performance
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and field operations
  • Ability to read plans, specifications, and construction documents
  • Commitment to maintaining safe and compliant jobsites
  • Flexibility to work evenings, nights, or weekends as project demands require

Schedule

  • Full-time position
  • Regular travel throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions
  • Flexible schedule based on project requirements
  • Evening, night, and weekend work may be required depending on project timelines
  • Superintendents typically return home on weekends between assignments
  • Between projects, team members return to headquarters for planning and coordination

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delran, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.50 - $48.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
