Job Description

The responsibilities of a Traveling Superintendent:

  • Manage all on-site construction activities for commercial interior projects ranging from approximately $1M to $25M+.
  • Lead daily coordination of subcontractors, vendors, and construction personnel.
  • Maintain project schedules and proactively identify and resolve field issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, company policies, and quality control procedures.
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, clients, architects, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct site meetings, progress updates, and project documentation reviews.
  • Oversee project closeout activities and punch list completion.
  • Travel nationwide to support projects across multiple regions and markets.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining high construction standards.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative jobsite culture.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Traveling Superintendent should have:

  • 5-12+ years of construction experience with a general contractor.
  • Strong background in commercial tenant interiors and Class A office construction.
  • Must have more than 50% of recent project experience managing large-scale, high-end office buildouts.
  • Experience overseeing projects valued between $1M and $25M+ preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel full-time throughout the United States.
  • Knowledge of construction scheduling, safety regulations, and quality control processes.
  • Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred but not required.
