Traveling Superintendent - Commercial Construction

Our client is a well-established commercial general contractor with more than four decades of experience delivering high-quality construction projects throughout the Southeastern United States. Known for their commitment to craftsmanship, client satisfaction, and long-standing relationships, they continue to expand their project portfolio across retail, commercial, renovation, and specialty construction sectors. Due to business growth and recent team changes, they are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to join their operations team.

The Traveling Superintendent will report directly to the Operations and Project Management team and will be responsible for the successful field execution of commercial construction projects throughout the Southeast region.

• Manage day-to-day field operations on assigned projects
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and project schedules
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within quality standards
• Maintain project documentation, reporting, and site communication
• Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce company safety expectations
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, clients, and design teams
• Lead project turnover activities and ensure successful project closeout

For the Traveling Superintendent - Commercial Construction we are seeking:

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience within commercial construction
• Strong background managing retail construction projects
• Experience overseeing ground-up and renovation work
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the Southeast
• Proven success managing subcontractors and project schedules
• Strong understanding of commercial construction practices and safety standards
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Stable employment history with demonstrated tenure at previous employers
• Proficiency with construction management technology and daily reporting software
• Preference for candidates located within reasonable proximity of Eastern Tennessee or willing to travel regularly from their home base

$90,000 - $110,000 base salary, Per diem, Truck allowance, 401(k) with profit sharing, Medical benefits package, Paid time off and holidays
