Traveling Superintendent - Mixed Commercial

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to lead commercial construction projects across multiple U.S. markets from mobilization through final turnover. This role is ideal for a hands-on field leader with strong tilt-wall and mixed commercial experience who is comfortable independently managing a jobsite, coordinating trades, and keeping projects moving safely and efficiently.

Description

• Lead day-to-day field operations for commercial construction projects nationwide
• Independently manage assigned jobsites from mobilization through closeout
• Develop and maintain project schedules, short-term planning, and sequencing
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, inspections, and field activities
• Oversee tilt-wall, structural, sitework, MEP, interior, and building envelope scopes
• Maintain project quality while driving schedule and production in the field
• Conduct safety meetings and reinforce jobsite safety expectations
• Work closely with Project Managers to address scheduling, cost, and constructability issues
• Build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams
• Manage punch-list activities, inspections, commissioning, and project turnover
• Maintain accurate daily reports and field documentation
• Represent the company professionally while working in markets across the U.S.

Profile

A successful Traveling Superintendent should have:

• Proven experience as a Superintendent with a commercial general contractor
• Previous experience working in a traveling Superintendent position
• Strong background delivering tilt-wall construction projects
• Experience across a mixed commercial project portfolio
• Demonstrated ability to independently run mid-to-large commercial jobsites
• Comfortable operating with lean field teams and taking responsibility for day-to-day project execution
• Strong understanding of scheduling, subcontractor coordination, safety, quality control, and construction sequencing
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively based on project location
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Consistent employment history and demonstrated career progression preferred
