We are seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale industrial and distribution center construction projects. Description
- Lead daily field operations on large-scale commercial, industrial, warehouse, logistics, and distribution center construction projects.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure schedule, quality, and safety objectives are achieved.
- Drive project execution from site mobilization through completion on ground-up construction projects.
- Monitor and maintain project schedules, proactively identifying and resolving field issues.
- Enforce company and project-specific safety standards while promoting a strong safety culture.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, field leadership, and client representatives.
- Support implementation of Lean Construction and Pull Planning methodologies when applicable.
- Initially support a major distribution center project in Utah before transitioning to future assignments in California and other locations.
- Ensure construction activities meet client expectations, contract requirements, and company standards.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to field teams throughout project delivery.
Profile
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent on commercial or industrial construction projects.
- Experience managing ground-up construction projects is strongly preferred.
- Background in distribution centers, warehouses, logistics facilities, manufacturing plants, or large industrial projects preferred.
- Proven ability to lead field operations, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and safety programs.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive, self-driven approach.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of autonomy.
- Ability and willingness to travel for project assignments on an ongoing basis.
- Experience using Procore or similar construction management software preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean Construction and Pull Planning methodologies is a plus.
