Key Details\n \nPay Rage\n \n$80000.00 \u2013\n \n$100000.00\n \nJob Type\n \nPermanent\n \nJob Category\n \nConstruction\n \nState\n \nFL\n \nJob Description\n \nJob Owner: Jasmeet Singh\n \nJOB DESCRIPTION\n \nPosition Title: Travelling Superintendent\n \nLocation: Varies, Travel Required\n \nReports To: Director of Construction\n \nDepartment: Operations\n \nGeneral Purpose: (Summary)\n \nTo produce all construction projects awarded to Construction, Inc. in a safe and quality-conscious manner, in a reasonable timeframe, while maintaining compliance with a construction budget and schedule through leadership and supervision of employed Construction Supervisors, subcontractors, material suppliers and labourers.\n \nLIHTC (Low Income Housing Tax Credit) and Market Rate Multi-Family renovation experience is required.\n \nQualifications/Basic Job Requirements:\n \nResponsibilities\n\n Manage/Lead \n Responsible for managing and supervising 2-4 Construction Supervisors who report to you. \n Assess current production staff reporting to you \n Recommend and make necessary changes to facilitate efficient operations \n Developing Goals for staff reporting to you \n Coordination with architect/owner's representative's \n Assist in the development of project design, guidelines, and specifications for projects compliance \n Review and maintain compliance of construction drawings and specifications before and during construction \n Evaluate/Rank each subcontractor/vendor and keep list updated \n Make recommendations of any needed changes necessary to facilitate project efficiency and quality standards \n Keep records of all RFI's, PCO's, Meeting Notes, Weather delays or anything else that would potentially affect the projects assigned to you. \n Assist with monthly draw preparation. \n Update weekly meeting minutes and chair client OCO meetings \n Lead project start-up, hold weekly production coordination meetings \n Provide all close out documents \n Process required documents in a timely manner for staff to perform their duties \n Manage/Lead staff assigned to you to also process needed documents in a timely manner. \n \nSafety\n\n Oversee, conduct, and implement staff safety training \n Oversee/assign weekly Job Site Safety Meetings with Subcontractors \n Inspections of Job Site and Subcontractors with emphasis on compliance with OSHA guidelines \n Incident Documentation \n Facilitate Safety Manual reporting for each Project assigned to you. \n \nQuality\n\n Training staff to recognize and correct deficient workmanship for each trade and the final product \n Confirm that products and processes employed are compliant with the project specifications \n Present a professional and quality appearance in every way is represented \n Verify work is correctly performed and punched complete, prior to authorizing subcontractor payments. \n \nTime/Scheduling\n\n Assist in preparing MS project schedules on every project, at the beginning of every project. \n Update schedules weekly and maintain schedule compliance as the project progresses \n Adjust/adapt schedule to perform project in quickest manner. \n Train staff to prepare schedules, adhere to schedules and complete projects according to the schedule. \n Cost \n Responsible for documenting and securing the construction project budget (Production Cost Sheet) through written subcontract agreements and material/service quotes \n Assist in the documentation and securing of subcontractor/vendor bids. \n Approving subcontractor/vendor invoices. \n Updating monthly Cost of Completion for each project. \n Build & Maintain Subcontractor Base \n Meetings and Communication \n Conduct weekly staffing, production, and safety meetings. \n Convey project status of each project w/in company to Director of Construction. \n Create and maintain MS Project Schedules \n Create in-progress/look-ahead schedules \n Conduct trade-specific meetings \n \n \nAdditional Details:\n\n LEADER \n Detail oriented \n Ambitious \n Self-motivated \n Professional presentation (look, speak & write) \n Neat and Organized \n Positive Personality/Disposition \n Computer literacy \u2013 \n Read and interpret blueprints and specifications \n Authoritative disposition Capable of managing people \n Willing to relocate for advancement \n Knowledge of the local markets and local market pricing \n Experience demonstrating assertiveness and self-confidence in presenting and supporting one's conclusions required. \n Demonstrated aptitude for mathematics. \n Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, Project, and Excel required. \n Demonstrated ability to accept increasing responsibilities and grow within an organization. \n Travel up to 90% of time may be required. \n\n
