Keeps an accurate record of 65 Peoria County funds and ensures the accuracy of the County's Automated Financial System, implements investment policy, supervises accounts receivable function and assists with daily banking functions.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with working knowledge of accounting principles and practices or an Associate's Degree in Accounting or Finance with two years of accounting/bookkeeping experience. Must have two years of progressively responsible Accounting or Finance experience, preferably in a government environment. Must be proficient in computers and related programs including Excel, MS Word, County financial system, A/R. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Ability to deal with the public is imperative. Must have effective oral and written skills and the ability to interact with others professionally.
Must understand and carry out complex written and oral instructions. Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision and utilize sound judgment in various situations and when making decisions. Must be organized and be able to handle multiple priorities and projects and meet deadlines.
