Treasury Analyst

The Treasury Analyst is responsible for supporting treasury operations, cash management activities, payment processing, and accounts payable functions. This role ensures accurate and timely execution of cash transactions, vendor payments, liquidity reporting, and treasury controls while maintaining compliance with company policies and banking requirements. The Treasury Analyst plays a critical role in optimizing cash flow, supporting debt management activities, and ensuring the integrity of treasury and payment processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily cash positioning and monitor liquidity across 25+ corporate bank accounts to ensure adequate funding for operational needs.
  • Maintain and update rolling cash flow forecasts, including weekly, monthly, and 13-week liquidity projections to support effective cash planning.
  • Analyze cash balances and provide borrowing and repayment recommendations related to revolving credit facilities to minimize interest expense.
  • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly treasury reports, including cash balances, debt activity, liquidity metrics, and payment forecasts.
  • Present cash flow, debt, and liquidity reporting to treasury leadership, finance management, and executive teams.
  • Monitor corporate debt balances, interest obligations, and lending covenant compliance requirements.
  • Support quarter-end and year-end liquidity planning, debt optimization initiatives, and treasury reporting activities.
  • Coordinate with Accounting during month-end close to prepare cash-related reconciliations, interest accruals, and treasury reporting schedules.
  • Execute and process vendor payments through checks, ACH, wire transfers, and other electronic payment methods in a timely and secure manner.
  • Review, validate, and approve payment requests while ensuring adherence to internal controls and authorization procedures.
  • Execute high-value cash transactions while maintaining strict segregation of duties and treasury controls.
  • Maintain banking platform administration, including user access management, payment entitlements, and security controls.
  • Support treasury management systems by maintaining accurate data, generating reports, and ensuring system integrity.
  • Investigate and resolve payment exceptions, banking discrepancies, returned payments, and transaction-related issues.
  • Coordinate with banking partners to resolve operational issues and optimize treasury services.
  • Review weekly and monthly payment runs and coordinate approvals with management.
  • Manage end-to-end escheatment activities, including identification, due diligence, reporting, and submission of unclaimed funds to state agencies within required deadlines.
  • Generate and maintain treasury activity reports and cash forecasting schedules.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including accounts payable accruals and treasury-related journal entries.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to treasury and AP-related inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, banking regulations, lending agreements, and internal control requirements.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of treasury and payment process controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Serve as administrator for treasury management systems, ensuring data integrity and system functionality.
  • Generate daily cash reports and maintain treasury reporting tools.
  • Administer online banking platforms, including user access, entitlements, training, and security reviews.
  • Support treasury system enhancements, testing activities, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Process weekly commission payments accurately and within established deadlines.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Operations, Human Resources, and external banking partners.
  • Identify opportunities to improve treasury processes, payment workflows, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiencies.
  • Participate in treasury projects, banking implementations, and strategic cash management initiatives.
  • Perform other treasury and finance-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • 25 years of experience in Treasury, Cash Management, Accounting, Accounts Payable, or Finance.
  • Experience with treasury management systems, online banking platforms, and ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of cash forecasting, liquidity management, banking operations, ACH, wire transfers, and accounts payable processes.
  • Knowledge of debt management, lending covenants, and treasury controls preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with vendors, banks, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
