Treasury-Liquidity & Funding Management Associate

Overview:

This associate will mainly be responsible for preparing routine non-USD liquidity and funding function related reports within Treasury, serving either as a maker or a reviewer (must be able to serve either role due to potential switch). Other responsibilities include RMB clearing bank business supporting, CFP maintenance and the Bank’s debt issuance program supporting. He/she should have reasonable knowledge of the liquidity and funding management operations in a commercial bank.

Responsibilities:

Funding and Liquidity Management

• Conduct or review the day to day operations on Nostro accounts
• Conduct or review the bank’s non-USD funding and liquidity reports
• Strengthen the current monitoring and/or management procedure of Nostro accounts based on business or system development
• Coordinate Banking Book FX Hedging Effectiveness and Stress Testing reports on monthly basis
• Prepare other non-USD related funding related reports
• Work closely with related stakeholders to help identify and grasp short-term investment opportunities

RMB Clearing Bank Business Supporting

• Support the RMB liquidity and funding management to implement and support the Bank’s RMB clearing bank business strategy
• Prepare RMB related report

CFP Maintenance

• Coordinate Early Warning Indicator’s Report daily
• Enhance BOCNY Contingency Funding Plan and the related components

Debt Issuance Program Coordination

• Support the Bank’s debt issuance project management
• Coordinate third-party selection, onboarding, KY3P and risk management process
• Facilitate legal document review and sign-off
• Support publication, pricing, public listing settlement process etc.
• Provide supports to other related work based on management needs

Maintaining Report Template and Ad-hoc tasks 

• Update and maintain the excel templates for routine reports when needed
• Work on ad-hoc tasks assigned by supervisors, such as contributing to ad-hoc reports or participating in projects

Backup

• Backup of other team members on performing daily review and monitoring of non-USD Nostro account for accuracy and unusual activities
• Backup of other team members

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree is required majoring in related field
• 1 year of commercial bank work experience related to treasury management is required
• Knowledge related to liquidity and funding management is required
• Microsoft skills, excellent with Excel formulas is required
• EPS Liquidity buffer management including HQLA classification, LQA modelling is preferred
• Liquidity risk contingency funding plan and early warning indicator framework management experience is preferred
• Fluent English is required and Mandarin is preferred

 

 

Pay Range

Actual salary is commensurate with candidate’s relevant years of experience, skillset, education and other qualifications.
