Key ResponsibilitiesJob-Site Leadership: Oversee daily job-site execution, directing a 2- to 4-person crew to ensure tree pruning, removals, cabling, and bracing are completed safely and efficiently.PHC Route Management: Complete daily assigned PHC routes across residential and commercial properties. Diagnose common ornamental tree and shrub issues and apply targeted treatments (sprays, soil injections, and fertilization).Client Communication: Serve as the on-site face of Joshua Tree Experts. Build professional, trusting relationships with homeowners, answer questions regarding plant health, and ensure 100% client satisfaction.Equipment Operations & Maintenance: Safely operate, calibrate, and maintain a wide range of specialized equipment, including spray rigs, backpack sprayers, air spades, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts. Complete daily truck inspections and preparation.Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to company safety policies and ANSI standards. Ensure safe drop zones, identify job-site hazards, and maintain accurate paperwork for product usage and compliance. Minimum Qualifications3 to 5 years of proven experience in tree care operations (including climbing, equipment operation, pruning and removals) combined with hands-on PHC application experience.Extensive knowledge of Southeastern tree species, plant diseases, regional pests, and proper care techniques.Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and on-the-job decision-making skills.Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.Minimum of 21 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED.Physical capability to lift at least 50 lbs repeatedly, navigate uneven terrain, and work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including summer heat.Ability to work 40 hours per week, with flexibility for overtime as necessary. Preferred QualificationsAlabama Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (or ability to obtain quickly).ISA Certified Arborist credential, or ability to obtain.CDL-B License.
