The Tree Trimmer role involves performing tree trimming, clearing, and removal along electric lines and rights of way.
Responsibilities include climbing trees to cut interfering branches using climbing equipment, chainsaws, pruners, and chippers. Operators may also use aerial lifts (bucket trucks) and should have knowledge of chainsaw safety, rigging, and vegetation management techniques.
Minimum of 6 months' experience in utility or residential tree clearance is preferred. A valid driver’s license or CDL is advantageous, and a pesticide license is a plus but not required.
The work schedule consists of four 10-hour days, with potential mandatory overtime and emergency storm duty. Travel across multiple states is expected, with flexibility required.
