This role provides hands-on leadership in pruning cabling bracing lightning protection and tree removals while guiding crew members maintaining equipment and upholding company safety standards.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise the tree care service activities of the crewEnsure crew members have the required safety materials training and are operating safely at all timesEnsure that the work areas beneath and around the trees are clear and properly marked to protect the public from falling debrisInspect and maintain climbing gear and tree care equipment to ensure all equipment and tools are safe and in proper working conditionReview and manage crew schedulesComplete daily pre-trip inspection reports before dispatch for all Class B equipmentCoordinate with branch management customers and employeesSafely operate tree & landscaping tools as well as heavy equipment as neededUtilize proper pruning techniques assist with trimming trees clearing and chipping tree debris ensuring proper disposal Education and Experience3 years experience in tree care servicesFamiliarity with the techniques and equipment used in landscapingCommercial Drivers License CDL class BExperience managing a crew consisting of climbers and grounds men or related servicesSupervisory experienceAbility to become certified in EHAP First-Aid and CPRAbility to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environmentStrong work ethicEffective verbal and written communication skillsBilingual SpanishPhysical DemandsRequirementsAbility to lift and carry 40 lbs. mulch fertilizer etc.Ability to loadunload burlaps with plant cuttings onto trailer up to 50 lbs.Ability to bend stoop and twist continuously throughout the dayWork EnvironmentWork inor about situations near direct automotive trafficWork near or about natural bodies of waterAbility to work in extreme conditions - temperatures may exceed 100 degrees FahrenheitAbility to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of timeRequires protective clothing and personal devices Eye protection safety vest gloves hard hat earplugs long-sleeved shirts and work boots.BrightView Landscapes LLC is an Equal Opportunity and E-Verify Employer.This job description is subject to change at any time.BrightView offers a suite or health wellness and financial benefits to full-time team members.
