They generate accurate cost proposals and act as the primary point of contact for customer service and project bidding.Responsibilities:On-Site Assessments: Inspect tree health, structural integrity, and surrounding property to identify hazards, diseases, or necessary maintenance.Job Bidding & Pricing: Calculate labor hours, equipment needs (e.g., bucket trucks, chippers), and material costs to generate competitive, profitable proposals.Client Consultation: Educate property owners on tree care recommendations, answer questions, and secure project approvals.Operational Coordination: Communicate with project managers and crew foremen to ensure work orders are safely and accurately executed.Safety Compliance: Ensure all proposed work aligns with industry standards and safety regulations. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]Requirements & Skills:Tree Species Knowledge: Strong background in arboriculture, including tree identification, pest diagnosis, and proper pruning techniques.Field Experience: Previous work as a tree climber or crew member is highly valued to realistically gauge the time and difficulty of tasks.Customer Service & Sales: Ability to build rapport, upsell beneficial treatments, and manage client expectations.Math & Software Proficiency: Capability to use industry estimation software, calculate precise measurements, and understand billing rates.
