ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for preparing patients for exams by taking vital signs, performing fingersticks, administering injections, updating health records in the EMR including medical history, medications, pharmacy information among other things. The ability to reflect professionally is critical. Position supports multiple levels of care by ensuring patients are properly managed and generally being helpful, courteous, positive, and pleasant at all times. There are a lot of moving parts with this position.

•Check the patient's personal information.
•Take and document vital signs.
•Pull templates over to progress note.
•Confirm and input meds, and update pharmacy information.
•Confirm past medical history.
•Make sure labs that were ordered were done.
•Make sure labs are in the progress note
•Assist with procedures as needed.
•Prepare rooms after each patient.
•Wipe touch areas daily.
•Scan documents into charts.
•Fax documents as needed.
•Put new patient information into charts and scan paperwork.
•Administer injections and A1c tests.
•Able to work fast and accurately to ensure timely flow of patients.
