    Triage - Registered Nurse (RN) 

    Location: Bohemia, NY

    Hours/Days: M-F (8.5hr Shifts)

    Organization :New York Cancer And Blood Specialists (NYCBS)

                                                                                                                                                  

    In this role, you will:

    • Create individualized care plans for patients under your supervision and care.

    • Must possess strong critical thinking skills to evaluate patient symptoms rapidly and make informed decisions about their care priorities.

    • Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge

    • Ability to convey information clearly and compassionately

    • Provide supportive resources to the patient and the families to promote a positive outlook.

    • Teach patients and the families regarding treatment expectations.

    • Watch and record the patient’s progress on a constant basis

    • Chart the patient’s response to treatment and medication.

    • Complete MAR after treatment.

    • Provide the patient with discharge instructions that are specific to the patient as well as emergency numbers after care

    • Complete injections 

    We require:

    • Valid New York State RN License

    • Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.

    • Proficiency with an EMR (preferred)

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching

    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

    What we offer:

    • Salary starting at $48 per hour based on experience
