Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Trial Attorney to join our Tampa office.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a litigation attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about handling sophisticated, high-stakes disputes from inception through trial.
The ideal candidate will possess strong courtroom experience, exceptional advocacy skills, and the ability to manage complex commercial litigation matters while collaborating with a team of highly respected attorneys.
The attorney will have significant client contact and be expected to play a key role in case strategy, trial preparation, and courtroom proceedings.
Responsibilities
Independently manage a diverse litigation caseload from pleadings through trial and appeal.
Develop and execute litigation strategies in complex commercial, business, and civil disputes.
Conduct and defend depositions, evidentiary hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
Draft and argue substantive motions, including dispositive motions.
Prepare witnesses, experts, and trial exhibits for hearings and trial proceedings.
Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, briefs, and persuasive written advocacy.
Collaborate with partners and litigation teams on significant client matters.
Manage discovery, including document review, written discovery, and electronic discovery issues.
Maintain strong client relationships and provide practical, business-focused legal advice.
Participate in business development, networking, and firm marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar.
2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in complex commercial litigation.
Significant courtroom, hearing, deposition, and trial experience.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage cases and client relationships.
Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Federal court experience is a plus.
Portable business is welcomed but not required.
