FALK Panel USA is hiring a Trim Operator to join our first-shift production team. This position is responsible for staging steel, programming and operating bending equipment, producing trim components, inspecting finished products, and helping ensure every customer order meets quality expectations.


Key Responsibilities

Production Operations

  • Safely operate brake presses, steel slitting equipment, and other trim production machinery. 
  • Read and interpret work orders, trim drawings, production specifications, and measurements. 
  • Program and operate brake presses to produce custom trim profiles. 
  • Set up and operate steel slitting equipment to produce required material sizes. 
  • Stage raw steel and materials for upcoming production runs. 
  • Package finished trim products to meet company quality and shipping standards. 
  • Utilize forklifts to safely transport raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products throughout the facility. 
  • Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation. 
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment and production issues while communicating larger concerns to leadership. 

Quality

  • Inspect incoming steel for proper color, gauge, finish, and overall quality. 
  • Verify finished trim products meet customer specifications and company quality standards. 
  • Perform visual inspections throughout the manufacturing process. 
  • Identify and report quality concerns or production defects immediately. 
  • Assist in reducing scrap and rework through attention to detail and process discipline. 

Safety

  • Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies and procedures. 
  • Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment. 
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. 
  • Report unsafe conditions, hazards, or near misses immediately. 
  • Demonstrate safe work practices while encouraging fellow team members to do the same. 

Teamwork & Continuous Improvement

  • Work collaboratively with Production, Shipping, Scheduling, Maintenance, and Quality personnel. 
  • Assist with cross-training and support multiple trim production processes. 
  • Contribute ideas to improve safety, efficiency, quality, and productivity. 
  • Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in other production areas when business needs require. 
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to FALK's "Do What It Takes" culture.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn manufacturing equipment. 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products. 
  • Ability to read measuring devices and production drawings. 
  • Ability to safely operate production equipment following established procedures. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

Preferred

  • Previous manufacturing or metal fabrication experience. 
  • Experience operating brake presses, slitters, or similar fabrication equipment. 
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification. 
  • Experience reading blueprints or technical drawings.

  • Regular operation of brake presses, steel slitters, forklifts, and material handling equipment. 
  • Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, and material handling throughout the shift. 
  • Team-oriented environment focused on safety, quality, and productivity. 


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the workday. 
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally (with assistance as needed). 
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and production equipment. 
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions using hands and upper body. 
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and dust. 
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).


Pay and Benefits

  • Full-time, W-2 Employment
  • Starting pay is $20 per hour
  • Monthly performance bonus opportunity of up to 12% of base earnings, based on company and/or individual KPI achievement
  • 401(k) with 4% company match

  • Company-paid dental and vision insurance premiums for employees, spouses, and dependents
  • Benefits begin on the 1st of the month following the hire date

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
