Job Summary:
Transports, stores, pulls, loads, and unloads products required for workshops, printing/assembly needs or stock replenishment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Truck Driving & Material Handling
Operates company box trucks. Completes Vehicle Maintenance Checklist prior to operating the trucks. Cleans cargo bay and cab upon completion of operation/shift. Completes Daily Truck Trip Log Sheet and turns in upon completion of operation/shift.
Performs truck shuttle run delivering items between buildings.
Performs local deliveries and pick ups.
Inventory Control
Operates radio frequency (RF) scans to maintain accurate inventory levels and storage locations. Checks Molding Department Work Centers for status of orders being produced.
Performs cycle counts as required. Returns all extra components to appropriate warehouse and properly stores parts.
Maintains inventory of supply items like crashdowns, plastic pallets and coffin lids. Stores and replenishes stock locations to meet inventory needs.
Monitors staging location inventory values at the end of every shift and reports issues to Team Leader.
Safety, Sanitation and SQF
Operates box trucks. Performs safety checks prior to every run. Notifies Team Leader of any safety concerns.
Operates powered industrial trucks to move materials to and from locations. Completes a forklift checklist prior to operation. Refers all problems to Team Leader. Adheres to traffic safety program. Uses extreme caution around pedestrians.
Safeguards material handling operations and warehouse contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. Enforces outside driver safety policies.
Ensures that all operations are performed with the utmost regard for the safety and health of all personnel involved.
Makes sanitation a day-to-day practice by ensuring that the guidelines for "Safe Quality Foods" are followed as a matter of routine. Internal inspections should result in few, if any, corrective actions. Corrective actions must be addressed in a timely fashion and not repeat in subsequent Whirley inspections.
Restacks leaning boxes and replaces damaged boxes or pallets.
Keeps warehouse areas free from stray parts.
Other Responsibilities as Assigned
Performs direct labor tasks as assigned and/or workload dictates.
Communicates with other shifts and departments to pass and gather information concerning daily duties.
May be required to work overtime to meet the department's operational needs.
Serves as a back up Material Handler when needed.
Performs any/all duties as assigned.

Driving records for TeamMates holding Material Handler positions will be subject to periodic review from a third party. Failure to maintain an acceptable driving record could result in job loss or reassignment.
