Job Responsibilities

  • Drives agriculture trucks and other vehicles for farm.
  • Responsible for vehicles readiness for operation, to include performs daily inspection and cleaning of all vehicles.
  • Ensures routine maintenance is performed on all vehicles.
  • Supervises loading/unloading of products, machinery, and supplies.
  • Ensures safety and security of all vehicles and inmates under direct supervision.

Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State of South Carolina minimum requirements:

A high school diploma and relevant program experience. A bachelors degree may be substituted for the required program experience.

SCDC Minimum requirements:

  • A High School diploma and relevant experience.

  • Must have a commercial drivers license - Class A without restrictions.

  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
