Job Description Job Title: Non-CDL Truck Driver FLSA Status Non-Exempt Department: Fleet / Logistics Employment Status Full-Time Reports To: Fleet Manager Work Location Extreme Steel Facility / Delivery Routes Position Summary Extreme Steel, Inc. is a growing AISC certified miscellaneous metals / structural steel fabricator and erector in the DC, VA & MD areas. We are currently looking for a reliable and skilled Non-CDL Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and customer service, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in excellent condition. Essential Responsibilities Driving & Deliveries Operate various types of non-CDL company vehicles, including pickup trucks and other delivery vehicles. Execute route driving efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries to designated locations. Load and unload freight using forklifts when necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents during transport. Clean and help with maintaining the vehicles when deliveries are finished. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and field foreman regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all local, state, and federal driving regulations. Work Schedule Monday - Friday. Compensation will be determined based on experience and skill level. Qualifications Experience / Requirements Clean driving record. A minimum of 5 years of experience. Familiarity with route driving and delivery processes. Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles. Previous experience with freight handling and delivery driver responsibilities is highly desirable. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to lift up to 50 LBS.
