Description

Krisp Events | Brooklyn, NY (East Williamsburg)

$21.00 per hour | Full time, hourly, non-exempt

Krisp Events is a Brooklyn based off-site catering company. We produce close to 1,000 corporate events a year, most of them in Manhattan, and we own our own inventory of ovens, tables, glassware, silverware, and serving equipment. That means our warehouse is the engine of the whole operation. If our trucks leave clean, loaded correctly, and on time, the event goes well. If they don't, everyone feels it.

We are hiring a Truck Driver / Warehouse Helper to join our warehouse team.

What you'll do

  • Drive our box trucks to event venues throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, and occasionally New Jersey and the outer boroughs
  • Load and unload food, beverage, rental equipment, and catering supplies
  • Navigate NYC loading docks, freight elevators, and building check in procedures
  • Return equipment to the warehouse, unload, and help with cleaning, organizing, and restocking
  • Help with inventory counts, packouts, and general warehouse upkeep between deliveries
  • Communicate clearly with the warehouse manager and event captains when plans change on the fly

What we're looking for

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Comfortable driving a box truck in New York City traffic and parking situations
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout a shift
  • Reliable and on time, every time. Our schedule does not have slack in it
  • Available for early mornings, evenings, and weekends depending on the event calendar
  • Prior catering, food service, moving, or delivery experience is a plus but not required
  • Must be at least 21 years of age (insurance requirement)

Schedule

Hours vary by day based on the event calendar. Our busiest stretches are May through July and September through December. Some days start early, some run late, and weekend availability is important.
