As a Truck Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling new and used medium- and heavy-duty trucks, meeting dealership sales objectives, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the entire sales process. The ideal candidate is self-driven, knowledgeable about truck specs and applications, and skilled in building lasting customer relationships.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education or related training a plus.
1–3 months of related experience and/or training preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong mathematical aptitude and ability to calculate figures such as discounts, commissions, and percentages.
Proficient in solving practical problems and interpreting a variety of instructions (written, oral, diagrams, schedules).
Proficient in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain one.
Essential Functions:
Meet or exceed sales targets for new and used truck units.
Proactively prospect for new customers via phone, email, in-person visits, and networking.
Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers through regular follow-up and service support.
Conduct effective truck demonstrations, including test drives when needed.
Close truck sales, secure deposits, and process all paperwork accurately and in line with company policies.
Prepare and submit detailed sales reports to the Truck Sales Manager.
Assist walk-in and call-in customers with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Delivery of sold trucks and explain warranties, service policies, and vehicle features.
Evaluate and appraise used trucks as needed.
Attend required sales and training meetings to stay current on product knowledge and sales techniques.
Continuously study and stay informed on truck specifications, performance, and applications.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local vehicle sale regulations.
Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company with integrity at all times.
