We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Truss Designer Trainee to join our team. This role is responsible for designing accurate, optimized roof and floor truss systems while supporting both production and customer needs. Read and interpret architectural drawings to create roof and floor truss placement layouts
Design roof and floor trusses using engineering software, ensuring accuracy and optimization
Ensure all designs align with current company policies, procedures, and design standards
Specify required hardware for each project
Maintain accurate and up-to-date Job Tracking Sheets
Send approval letters to customers in accordance with procedures when needed
Provide sales and customer support as required
Keep office and plans organized, logged, and properly maintained
Attend meetings and participate in team initiatives as directed
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to read and understand architectural prints or be willing to learn.
Comfortable working with design/engineering software
Organized and able to manage multiple projects
Strong communication and teamwork skills
