    Truss Operations Manager

    Confidential Opportunity – Southern Ohio

    An established and growing structural building components manufacturer is seeking an experienced Truss Operations Manager to lead plant operations, drive production performance, and develop high-performing teams.     Key Responsibilities

    • Lead daily manufacturing operations for a truss production facility.
    • Manage production schedules to ensure customer delivery commitments are met.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
    • Develop, coach, and mentor production supervisors and hourly team members.
    • Monitor production metrics, labor utilization, and operational KPIs.
    • Coordinate with design, sales, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure smooth workflow.
    • Maintain high standards for product quality and compliance with engineering specifications.
    • Implement and enforce safety policies and promote a positive safety culture.
    • Assist with workforce planning, hiring, training, and employee development.
    • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, equipment utilization, and productivity.

    Qualifications

    • 8+ years of leadership experience in truss manufacturing, wall panel manufacturing, or structural building components.
    • Strong understanding of wood truss manufacturing processes and production flow.
    • Proven ability to lead teams, improve operational performance, and drive accountability.
    • Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or process optimization is highly preferred.
    • Strong communication and leadership skills.
    • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and operations teams.
    • Knowledge of production planning, inventory management, and scheduling.
    • Experience with MiTek, Alpine, Eagle Metal, or similar industry software is beneficial but not required.
