Trust Advisor – Special Needs Trust General Function: The Special Needs Trust (SNT) team administers special needs trusts, court‑created minor trusts, guardianships, and related fiduciary relationships for individuals with impairments. The SNT Trust Advisor delivers fiduciary expertise, manages personal trusts, ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and cultivates strong client relationships.Responsibilities Develop subject‑matter expertise in fiduciary areas.Serve as a trusted advisor, building close relationships with clients and their families.Coordinate with partners and external advisors to anticipate client service needs.Support expanding and deepening existing trust relationships and new trust business (e.g., client presentations, fiduciary strategy advisory).Oversee administration of trust accounts, ensuring compliance with documents, legal requirements, and company policies.Review and interpret estate‑planning documents and manage trust income and principal.Coordinate resources (tax liaison, legal counsel, operations) to maintain fiduciary responsibility.Manage due diligence on new fiduciary appointments, reviewing essential documents.Drive client satisfaction and retention, identifying at‑risk clients and resolving issues.Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records of all trust activities.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, or related field.Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CTFA, CFP) preferred.Minimum 7 years of trust and estate administration experience with a proven track record.Strong knowledge of trust and estate laws, regulations, and industry standards.Proven ability to advise on and deliver fiduciary strategies.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for a best‑in‑class client experience.Team orientation in a matrix environment and ability to manage multiple priorities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.High ethical standards, fiduciary responsibility, sense of urgency, and continuous improvement mindset.Minimal travel may be required.Benefits & Compensation Base salary: $96,500.00–$207,500.00 USD annually (varies by role, experience, location). Eligible for incentive compensation based on performance.
